Cobán is famous for its high precipitation and cool temperatures all year around. In addition, it is home of protected rainforest areas, that give shelter to the rare Quetzal bird - one of the national symbols of Guatemala and once said "to be the most spectacular bird in the new world".
A regular mist - commonly known as Chipi Chipi - as well as abundant rainfalls thoroughly hydrate the coffee plants and aid their growth, while providing at the same time special conditions for the cultivation of outstanding coffees.
The coffee is delivered by small farmers in cherry to our wet mill Santo Domingo, where our highly skilled personnel carefully selects and processes individual lots in order to achieve the typical characteristics of our LIQUIDÁMBAR coffee.
